A meeting of the Commission for International Cooperation of the Council for Interaction with Religious Associations under the President of Russia was held
On September 22, 2025, a regular meeting of the Commission for International Cooperation of the Council for Interaction with Religious Associations under the President of Russia was held at the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate.
The meeting was chaired by the Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations, Head of the Commission for International Cooperation, Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk. Participants included: the Referent of the Domestic Policy Directorate of the President of the Russian Federation, Executive Secretary of the Council (Deputy Chairman of the Commission) A.V. Tretyakov; Advisor to the Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus', Archpriest Nikolay Balashov; the Head of the Russian and Novo-Nakhichevan Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Archbishop Ezras Nersisyan; the Presiding Bishop of the Russian United Union of Christians of Evangelical Faith (Pentecostals) S.V. Ryakhovsky; First Deputy Chairman of the Russian State Duma Committee on International Affairs A.V. Chepa; Deputy Director of the Department for Relations with Constituent Entities of the Federation, Parliament and Public Associations of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs M.M. Melekh; DECR secretary for affairs of the far abroad, Secretary of the Commission, Archpriest Sergiy Zvonarev; Deputy Chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Russia for International Affairs R.R. Abbyasov; Secretary of the DECR for Interreligious Relations, Priest Ilya Kashitsyn; First Deputy Chairman of the Euro-Asian Division of the General Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church O.Y. Goncharov; Chief Advisor of the department of the Domestic Policy Directorate of the President of the Russian Federation A.A. Terentiev, as well as other members of the Commission and invited officials.
The meeting participants discussed topics on the current agenda.
