A Pilgrimage Trip to Russia by the Deans of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa has Begun

On August 21, 2025, with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus’, a pilgrimage trip to Russia began for thirty deans and senior priests representing 22 countries under the pastoral responsibility of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa.
At the Danilovskaya Hotel, the delegation was welcomed by the Patriarchal Exarch of Africa, Metropolitan Konstantin of Cairo and North Africa. His Eminence held a general meeting at which he warmly greeted the clergy and discussed with them a number of organizational matters, the Exarchate’s website reports.
The clergy will visit Orthodox holy sites of the capital, take part in divine services, the first church-practical conference of the deans of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa, and other church events.
On August 26, a press conference dedicated to the activities of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa and the pilgrimage trip of the deans will be held at TASS.
The delegation includes the Vicar of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa, Bishop Euthymius of Lukhovitsy; deans of church districts in South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Nigeria, Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Republic of the Congo, Uganda, Burundi, Malawi, the Central African Republic, Rwanda, Madagascar, Côte d’Ivoire, Togo, Benin, and Burkina Faso, as well as clergy of the Exarchate in Angola, Gabon, Zambia, and Mauritius.
The pilgrimage will conclude on August 29.
